timeless color palette + Edgy silouhettes = Perfection!! #salute

I first met these cats in Cali in the 90’s, they were on their “street-grind” while signed to Rawkus Records, We clicked immediately and became fam on some Lo-Life shit, a few years later I moved back to the east and when I got to there they were on deck w/ my brother Joseph I to make sure that I was at home in Brooklyn, they made a cat from out of town feel at home in their burrough, even gave me my Brownseville pass to walk freely in one of the most feared hoods in NYC, took me to Brownsville day at Betsey head Pool, the Allah school of medina in the Ville (opened by their father Akbar ) and really showed me what it meant to “spread love, the Brooklyn way”!!! They influenced countless stars of today’s Hip-Hop from Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Wu-Tang etc and the eldest Shabar (Daddy Rose) gave half of these artists their attributes and Knowledge of self, I will never forget those days and how amazing music was at the time, felt like we owned Brooklyn wherever we went, the memories will be with me for a life time, here’s a slice from those days, enjoy!
